The Farmers
Spruce Nubble Farm is home to two overworked
humans
who love the abuse.
Amy
Lasley was raised in the suburbs of
Massachusetts (yes, a genuine Masshole!), and moved to Maine
in 2004 after nearly a decade as a web site designer. She longed
for the country life and immediately began raising any critter
she could find. Over the years she has come to appreciate the
versatility of pigs and chickens for meat production. She has
always been an avid horse person, and still loves them despite
the fact that they eat their value in groceries every year.
Ricky
Mckenzie was born and raised in Maine,
and has a thick Downeast accent to prove it. He was always
a country boy, and as soon as he was old enough, joined the
military to try and "see the world". After 14 years as an enlisted
man, he had indeed seen a lot of places, but had also seen
quite a bit of action and so Uncle Sam turned him out to pasture.
Here on the farm, he gets to eat all the pasture he wants,
and can lay around snuggling with baby horses to his heart's
content.
