December 2006

The king and queen of shit shoveling enjoy a much needed night out on the town with our niece and nephew.

May 2006

Our first batch of broiler chickens go outside in our pastured poultry pen. This worked out great! The pen gets moved every day, keeping the chicks on fresh grass and giving them access to bugs, sun and rain. They were delicious too!

May 2006

Our little creek running like it only can during mud season!

April 2006

An early spring rainshower delivers a spectacular rainbow behind our barn. We love this place!

March 2006

A few of our sap buckets. This was our first year sappin' and we had a great time. Thanks to our neighbor Charlie Snell and his brother Jim for all their help and tutelage - they really went out of their way to show us the ropes of making Maple Syrup.

November 2005

Ross grins with satisfaction after extracting another gigantic boulder from our greenhouse site. Gotta love that Maine soil!

September 2005

Apples ripening in the sun. This land was once part of the Brackley Apple Orchard, and we have dozens and dozens of very old trees here which we are trying to rehab.

August 2005

If you see this mailbox, you know you're here! Painting our mailbox blue was one of the first things we did after moving in. Inspring by a great Taj Mahal song, "Paint my mailbox blues".
